Current Opportunities

Technical Sales Professional – Houston, TX

KD Johnson Inc. seeks an innovative and passionate sales professional to expand and develop product penetration and customer relationships in Houston, Texas. If you are looking for an opportunity to become part of an exciting team selling world-class power solution products and systems and build lasting relationships with customers, then this position is for you. Combine your technical abilities with sales and relational skills to help our customers solve their most challenging problems with our line of solutions from industry-leading manufacturers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•          Lead business development efforts in assigned territory to introduce KD Johnson products and services to new             and existing customers through visits, demonstrations, training courses, and industry conferences

•          Work with Regional VP/Team Lead to develop sales forecasts and strategic plans and perform activities to                     meet/exceed those plans

•          Plan and execute strategies to achieve breakthrough orders with un-served customers

•          Collaborate with Regional VP/Team Lead, Inside Sales & Other Sales Representatives to contribute to overall               KD Johnson success

•          Participate in KD Johnson and Industry technical meetings, and conferences

•          Maintain and enhance knowledge of all KD Johnson Product Lines

•          Maintain customer database for customer sales and application information

•          Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•          Experience in technical sales or specifying, applying and/or maintaining power system products

•          Experience working directly with or for end-users, distributors and sales partners

•          Ability to travel domestically and internationally (~25%)

•          Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills

•          Demonstrated ability to understand and present complex material in comprehensible terms

•          Strong presentation skills in a sales environment - able to manage own schedule and be accountable for                       deliverables in a fast-paced agile environment

•          Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

•          Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

•          Experience with electric protection/control/automation/communication equipment

•          B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
